LASH EXTENSIONS AFTERCARE

A fresh, full set of eyelash extensions can change your life! You’ll probably find yourself addicted after your first set, so it’s never too early to learn how to look after them.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Avoid getting them wet for up to 48 hours after application.

You should try to avoid getting your new lashes wet within the first 48 hours or if the shower is a must avoid the fog, don't have the shower too hot. The water will react with the eyelash extension glue and cause a flash cure. Basically, water will cause the lash bond to become brittle and break.

After the 48 hour period, you’re safe to shower again.

2. Do not rub or touch your eyes.

3. Clean with eyelash foam cleanser every 3 days

Using a soft bristle brush and specialist eyelash extension cleaning foam, clean approximately every 3 days. Getting into this habit removes traces of natural oils, dust and make-up. This prevents any build-ups causing pressure on your lashes and breaking down the bond. Ultimately, you need to clean clean clean to avoid premature lash shedding.

4. Brush through your eyelash tips in the morning.

5. Do not use Mascara or any oil based products on or around or on the eyes

You’re heading out, and the temptation for more va va voom is huge, so you reach for the mascara and eyeliner to pump up the volume. Please don’t do this! The product gets caught between lashes and build up. This, in turn, becomes much harder to clean and may lead to premature lash loss and affect your eye health! If you must add mascara, it’s vital that you’re using a water-based variant.

6. Do not sleep on your face

7. Stay on top of your fill-ins (recommended every 2 - 3 weeks)

Lash shedding explained: This is normal don't freak out!

Lash shedding is a common occurrence, but what affects the rate at which lashes fall out? The different hair growth stages. On average, a person loses about 20% of their natural lashes every two weeks. Depending on their individual lash growth cycles, a person can typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes every day.
